Vincent Glinsky “The Awakening” (also known as “Crouching Nude” or “The Dreamer”) – authentic mid-century studio-period cast, c.1958–1962. Glinsky (1895–1975) was a Russian-American modernist sculptor represented in the Smithsonian and Whitney Museums.
Heavy cast stone/gypsum composite, NOT a later resin copy. Features impressed “G O” and “ME” studio marks with original felted base.
Approx. 11-3/8" W × 9-3/4″ H × 5-7/8″ D, weight ≈ 16.25 lbs.
Excellent condition (8+/10): minor surface scuffs and age marks only. No cracks or repairs. Original matte patina and crisp sculptural definition.
