This is one of Sarah Coventry's most famous and collectable sets. Recently, Mr. Frank Delizza confirmed [via the Discovering Juliana Jewelry Group] that this amazing set, which has been compared to Weiss, was made by D&E, makers of the also beloved "Juliana" jewelry. D&E also made pieces for Weiss so the Weiss comparison was spot on! It is obvious to see why the name was chosen. The blues resemble those of the ocean in the Caribbean. This set can be seen in several costume jewelry books including Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 by Julia C. Carroll on page 240. It dates to 1964 and was a hostess gift given out at the famous Sarah parties. The metal is rhodium plated and the dazzling earrings are the clip- on type.
Condition: Excellent vintage. The tiniest of scratches on a few AB stones noted. Measurements: Brooch: 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide. Earrings: 1" long and wide.
