The boat was carved out of a single block of wood with hollow inside and a cabin on the top which also served as a lid. Inside of the boat holds 22 carved miniature people & animal figures. There are one man and one woman, 4 elephants, 2 giraffes, 2 rhinos, 2 lions, 1 hippo, 4 water fowls, 1 bunny, 2 turtles, and 2 crocodiles.
