Combining amethyst and citrine into one fashioned gemstone, ametrine is a form of transparent quartz and is most often cut to produce rectangular shaped stones that are half purple/half golden yellow. Ametrine is found naturally in only one location, Bolivia and is a very rare gemstone as the occurrence of two different gems in one is accidental during its formation.. Although not designated as a birthstone, ametrine creatively combines February and November into one stone! This Ametrine gem is a Lilac color with Yellow floating through it in different lighting conditions. It is lighter than the camera shots shown but beautiful and fancy with a sparkling Zircon halo.
