This is a commemorative t-shirt for the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia's final mission, STS-107, who were lost on February 1, 2003, during reentry into the atmosphere.
The mission launched on January 16, 2003, and was the 28th flight of the Space Shuttle Columbia.
The crew consisted of seven astronauts: Rick D. Husband, William C. McCool, Michael P. Anderson, Kalpana Chawla, David M. Brown, Laurel B. Clark, and Ilan Ramon.
The disaster occurred when the shuttle broke apart over Texas, 16 minutes before its scheduled landing at Kennedy Space Center.
The cause was a hole in the shuttle's left wing, which was created by a piece of foam insulation that fell off the external tank during launch.
