A recently unearthed Herkimer Diamond Floater from the Turtle Clan Mine in Fonda, NY. This is a really nice one. Its double terminated, gemmy, is fully intact and has a high luster.
Most Quartz on Earth is 280 million years old at most. Herkimer Diamonds are 500 million years old. They are all the more special when you consider their age. Especially when you find one so well intact.
