pair of vintage apothecary jars brings bold mid-century charm to any space. Each tall ceramic canister is decorated with Latin inscriptions referencing historic remedies:
• Hirudo Decora – leeches, once used in traditional medicine.
• Avena Sativa – oats, valued for soothing and healing properties.
The jars feature domed lids with gold-painted finials, heraldic shields, laurel wreaths, and classic medical emblems including the caduceus and serpent staff. Their pastel speckled finishes — one pink, one yellow — are accented with gleaming gold trim.
While unmarked, their style strongly reflects the work of Jeannine Robinette, an American designer known for colorful decorative apothecary jars in the mid-20th century.
Size: approx. 11" tall (with lids)
Colors: pastel pink and yellow speckled glaze with gold trim
Date: mid-20th century (1960s–1980s)
Condition: good vintage condition overall; one jar has small rim fleabites and chip (see photos)
