Vintage original 1950s re-release film poster lobby cards (each 11” x 14”) set of 8 for the classic 1932 Pre-Code MGM film “Grand Hotel” starring Greta Garbo, John Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Lionel Barrymore & Wallace Beery. The film won Best Picture at the Oscars.
This original vintage set of eight movie theater lobby cards (LCs) (11” x 14”) from a 1950s re-release of MGM’s all-star “Grand Hotel” is in very fine condition overall. The unrestored cards have general wear & tear such as minor creases or marks near the edges or on back of cards. LC #4 has a very faint stain at top of front of card & a tape stain on back of card. It also has a tiny tear on right side solely in border. Otherwise the lobby cards are in wonderful condition featuring key scenes that really capture the style & flair of the film. Overall, these cards will display very well.
“Grand Hotel” has proven influential since its release. The line "I want to be alone", famously delivered by Greta Garbo is iconic.
