Antique Mercury Glass Jolly Clown Ornament - German. This jolly fellow, also known as 'Joey clown', playing his banjo sits on a stump with leg crossed in bright blue overglaze in beautiful detail. Yellow-gold accents appear to have been worn way. Early 1900's
Estate find in good condition with wear to yellow-gold coloring seen around arm/sleeve and lips. Small scratch on back of hat; oxidation to top of hat; Lauscha-style flat hanging loop. Scattered tarnish spots of silvery surfaces. No chips or cracks. Tear-drop at bottom of stump. Measurement approximate - 4.25" to top of ring
