Excellent antique condition, no flaws. This rare and exquisite necklace features all hand faceted "cant" beads, done in the same style of jet beaded necklaces of the 1860s-1880s with fewer but larger facets per bead than later trends, resulting in a dramatically gothic and unmistakably Victorian aesthetic. Even more remarkable is the original pin clasp which was japanned at the time of production to blend seamlessly with the black beads and indicates this necklace was surely a suitable choice during times of mourning. Clasp functions perfectly. Please see photos for measurements in inches.
