The frame appears to be wood underneath with a metal border applied over-top. The frame is in decent shape, with some minor scuffs and marks and corner chipping - but no major damages that threaten integrity or diminish from the artwork inside. The glass is in excellent condition, with no chips. There is a hanging wire made of twisted wire and circle eyelets. The back of the frame was professionally lined, with brown paper, at "The Frame Factory", before I got the art piece. The backing has a few minor holes, but is still largely intact and serves its purpose well. The edges of the backing are peeling a bit in one corner, but the effect is minimal. On the front, the internal page shows no rips or tears, and looks perfect, with vibrant colors and crisp lines and text. The page is set in, with a nice teal blue-green border around it, which sits higher than the artwork.
