Vintage Judith Jack Sterling Silver Camphor Glass Necklace
The pendant showcases carved round shaped camphor glass, which is imitative of rock crystal, with sterling floral shaped overlays and marcasite accents. The pendant hangs on a three strand silver chain with a claw lock.
Judith Jack made Art Deco style as well as other period jewelry pieces and often incorporated marcasite. Camphor glass jewelry was originally introduced in the late 1800's and was sometimes used in mourning necklaces or pins. It was popular to the early 1940's.
