Fabulous 1940’s era Walter Lampl Sterling Silver Art Deco brooch featuring a stylized tulip surrounded by buds and scrolling. Measures 2” long and has a C clasp that has a surprisingly good amount of spring tension in it. Walter Lampl hired almost exclusively women to design his pieces and he hired women to work in his workshop. During the Depression he hired the male spouses who were out of work to work in the shop. By all accounts, he was an amazing man and businessman who suddenly died from a heart attack at age 50 after his company Holiday/Christmas party.
