Measures approximately 2" tall.
The production of dress clips was primarily limited to the period between the 1920s and 1950s.
This dress clip is made of celluloid or an early plastic material, which was a common material for this type of costume jewelry during that era.
This grape and leaf design is molded, a common manufacturing technique for celluloid items. Similar grape-themed fur or dress clips were popular in the 1930s and 1940s.
A dress clip is a decorative brooch that attaches to fabric with a hinged clip and small prongs on the back, popular in the 1920s through the 1940s. They were often worn in pairs on dress necklines, straps, or collars to add embellishment. Some sets could be worn together as one large brooch or separated into two individual clips, known as a "duet" or "clip-mate".
