American artist Edna Hibel 24k gold foliate embellished lithograph depicting a young Manchu child in traditional garb & hat. Hand signed "Hibel" numbered on back in pure gold. In this original limited edition stone lithograph Hibel used an overlay in pure gold created by serigraphy on top of an image she painted by the medium of giclee on fine porcelain, it is an example of her talent in mixed media art.
"Sakura" was the third art piece in the "Oriental Gold" series of collector fine art on porcelain plates in 24K gold by Rosenthal Group of Germany, Classic Rose Collection, Numbered 1476 in pure gold on back. Hibel is known for her sensitive portrayals of women and children from all cultures, & in this painting you can see two figures outlined only in gold standing to the side but they seem to be very much a part of the young girl. The Gold drawing on the plate adds a determined poignant dimension to the painting & speaks of the power of human connections.
