Trunks up for luck. Part of Swarovski's Africa Line, the adorable brooch presented, circa 1993 features a pave set rhinestone crystal tree limb -- the ideal prop for an elephant's scratch and sniff scenario. The golden juvenile wraps it's trunk around the top most branch and enjoys a rub as well. He is done is super lustrous gold tone with a sparkling clear chaton rhinestone eye accent. He was introduced through Swarovski's Crystal Society in 1993.
The brooch measures approximately 2 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches at it's widest part with a 1/8 inch profile or thickness. Accent rhinestones are about 1 millimeter. Weight of the brooch is 19.8 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All "white" rhinestone uniformly clear and brilliant. No off or dead stones. No dents or improper bends to metal components. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Pin mechanism secure. Clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
