On offer is this beautifully carved African Zulu tribal bust with certification of a Sangoma witchdoctor by Paul Kgaile. Carved in brown and green Verdite, black and Namibian Pyrophylite, Jasper and banded Aragonite. Incised signature on the reverse. The bust stands just shy of 6.5" tall, 4.35" wide, 2.85" deep, and weighs just over 3 lb. It appears that Kgaile carved 99 of these and this is number 97. In very nice condition with a felt lined base. Titled 'Witchdoctor", however the Sangoma prefer to be considered as healers. Vintage.
