Utagawa Kuniyoshi Antique Ukiyo-e Japanese Woodblock Print Flower Lantern Geisha

An original antique ukiyo-e Japanese woodblock print by the prominent artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The print depicts a geisha wearing a flowing blue kimono holding a black and white lantern in her left hand. The title in Japanese is 「花屋の娘分おその 市川九蔵」. A rough translation indicates the figure is likely a daughter of a florist. The woodblock print dates from the early to mid-19th century. There is the artist's insignia in the bottom left corner as well as continued Japanese calligraphy in the bottom and top left corners. Overall dimensions of the frame are approximately 10'' x 14''. Dimensions of the image are approximately 9'' x 13''. There is various creasing and pinholes due to age.
