A vintage, Dolly Rocker dress designed by Sambo. Longsleeved with a turtleneck, a concealed rear zip and a fabric belt with metalic faux buckle. The A-line skirt is quilted. The fabric is jade green with a paisley pattern in purple and white. Made in England Dollyrockers active1963-75. Their in-house designer was Samuel Sherman, known as 'Sambo'. A joint publicity campaign with Dolcis Shoes was headed by Patti Boyd at the same time she began dating a Beatle-so very good publicity! Polyester/cotton blend but no label to confirm In very good used condition no snags, marks or holes. Size label says 10 but measurements suggest UK 8 Pit to pit 17 inches, waist 13 inches, nape to hem 40 inches
